biomyth monodrama residency with d’bi.young

Hello practitioner, welcome to Biomyth Monodrama Residency. In this residency (options for 7, 14 or 21 days), d’bi.young anitafrika supports practitioners in creating their own biomyth monodrama using the Anitafrika Method. This residency is an in-person residency at Ubuntu! Decolonial Arts Centre in Costa Rica but can also be arranged online. During the program, d’bi.young works with the practitioner as a dramaturge and guide to support them in their play-development process. This residency culminates in a public sharing of the first draft of the work-in-progress. The program options: 7 days, 14 days, or 21 days which are inclusive of:

  • accommodation

  • food (self-prep)

  • program instruction

  • artist package

  • program-related activities

Program fee does not include:

  • return flight and airport transfer to residency location

  • travel insurance

  • visa (if applicable)

The in-person residency is inclusive of 1-3 weeks of instruction (depending on the program length); the online residency is inclusive of three months of instruction with d’bi.young anitafrika. Also included in both programs is a residency package, three-month access to Dubbin Praxis: Intro to the Anitafrika Method (living e-workbook), three-month streaming access to pre-recorded private lectures by d’bi.young anitafrika, and three-month streaming access to The Sankofa Trilogy featuring three biomyth monodramas by d’bi.young anitafrika: Blood.Claat, Benu & Word! Sound! Powah!
